Downtown Dromedary

Not knowing that the circus had arrived in Muskegon made it a shock to come face to face with one of the performers this morning.

The extreme cold didn’t seem to bother my new acquaintance in the least. Indeed, he seemed not at all inclined to pull in head back into the tent!

Muskegon Farmer’s Market

The Muskegon Farmer’s Market is still awfully cold and quiet, but it won’t be for much longer. It will be wonderful to see everyone back for another season of great friends and food.

Ruddiman Creek Sunrise

Here is the sun coming up over the Ruddiman Creek valley just down the hill from Muskegon’s McGraft Park.

With the creek finally starting to thaw a bit, it’s really fun to watch all of the animals reappearing. Besides all of the resident ducks, there are usually a few large mammals navigating the water. These guys (beavers?) aren’t obvious as yet, but I’m sure that we’ll be seeing them any day now.
